I miss....

....my fella.
He is the lead singer of a band called "Let's get it"
(who are currently on a month long tour across the country)
I recommend checking them out
You won't be disappointed. They're really quite good.
Trust me...I'm a curly head.

HELLOGOODBYE – WHEN WE FIRST MET

[[Today's restaurant]]

CHARLIE PARKER DINER

I’m really really into diners. Anything breakfast like is AOK in my book. I don’t know why this particular one stands out. But I’m diggin it lol.

[[Today's kitchen gadget]]

MICROWAVE SMORES GADGET
Sigh...this pains me.

I watched this video several times and I still can’t wrap my head around it. I’m 100% positive that if you put smores in the microwave without this device for 10 seconds that they will turn out almost exactly the same. Not worth $10 in my opinion. A very lazy kitchen device. I’m sure they’re selling tons!!

PARKING GARAGES/LOTS

Who knew parking could be so interesting? Artistic even!?

[[Today’s food Clip]]

APPLE SWANS

(Remember my appleswans?)

I saw one of the chefs at school make an apple swan like nobody’s business–and I really wanted to learn how to do it for myself – that’s when I found this extremely helpful video. Take a jab at making one yourself! I guarantee you’ll be impressed with the finished product. Do not be afraid. Trust me. It isn’t hard.

Want to learn how? For a slow- step by step version of this speedy video click here: http://www.youtube.com/v/MZ2RGJKWCDY&hl=en_US&fs=1&">

Chef John has such a good attitude when it comes to food –he’s also helpful and so much fun to watch. Check out his blog for wonderful and step by step recipes with videos! http://foodwishes.blogspot.com/

[[Today's curly head]]

TAYLOR SWIFT
Taylor Swift is one of my all time favorite curly heads.
In a perfect world we would be best friends
She'd call me J and I'd call her T.
Sigh....one day.

**Something very excited happened in my pastry class yesterday
and I thought I would share it with you........**

I MADE CREME BRULEE FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME!!! :)
-It is coffee flavored creme brulee that was baked in small coffee cups- with cinnamon sprinkled on top
Cute idea hu?

It is going to be one of the desserts on the French menu next week at school.

Creme Brulee really isn't hard to make at all.
I'm just excited because it's one of those kitchen/restaurant staples...
...one of the things that chefs have to make sooner or later
and I did yesterday!

I feel awesome!

Ok...that's all for today!
Goodbye!
