BENJYEHUDA
“Benjyehuda, which Rosen operates with his wife, Stacey, caters to Loop workers and hungry traders from the nearby Chicago Board of Trade, opening at 11 a.m. for lunch and shuttering in the late afternoon. It's easy to get in and out fast, with counter service and ample seating at a mix of comfy booths and stools at counters along the walls of the modern, industrial-inspired space. It's also easy to get in and out for less than $10 a person.
The menu focuses on build-your-own sandwiches and meals that begin with pita or laffa (a hand-stretched flatbread) or a bed of rice or romaine lettuce. Then you choose a filling, either falafel or shawarma from cones built fresh and roasted daily ($4.99-$7.49). Once you've got the basics, load 'em up with a variety of house-made toppings, including hot sauce, hummus and red cabbage salad.”

(1)BREAKFAST LIKE A KING: WHY A FAT BACON AND EGGS MEAL IS THE HEALTHIEST START TO THE DAY
"Bacon, sausages, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, black pudding... if that's what you had for breakfast, scientists say you've chosen the healthiest way to start your day.
No, seriously. Hot on the heels of yesterday's chocolate-is-good-for-you findings, researchers say a full English breakfast is better for the heart, waistline and blood pressure than carbohydrate-rich cereals, breads and pastries. It is thought that a fried breakfast sets up the metabolism for the rest of the day, making it easier to burn off other meals and snacks."

(2)LATEST HIGH-FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP STUDY GENERATES BUZZ, DEBATE
"Acolytes of "Food Rules" guru Michael Pollan and other well-meaning foodies who've made corn a scapegoat for the nation's health crises have welcomed a new study from Princeton University that suggests high-fructose corn syrup causes more significant weight gain than table sugar. But the findings have been criticized by food science experts and industry veterans, who say the study unfairly demonizes corn syrup and implicitly absolves cane sugar of responsibility for making Americans fat."The debate about which one is better for you is a false debate, because neither of them is good for you," says Elizabeth Abbott, author of the forthcoming "Sugar: A Bittersweet History." Researcher Miriam Bocarsly counters that the study wasn't designed to demonstrate "what sugar does for the body." Instead, her team set out to uncover what happens when rats subsist on a diet rich in high-fructose corn syrup for six months. They reported that rats fed water sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup developed more belly fat and had an increased level of circulating triglycerides, fat's chemical form in the body."

(3) WORLDS LARGEST BANANA MUSEUM FORCED TO SPLIT
"The world's largest banana collection in Hesperia, Calif., is in jeopardy. The International Banana Club and Museum, which boasts 17,000 banana-themed artifacts and is listed in Guinness World Records as the "largest collection devoted to any one fruit," has resided for free in a city-owned building for the past four years. But now the Hesperia Recreation & Park District wants the collection out to make room for a new exhibit. Founder Ken "the Banana Man" Bannister has not lost his sense of humor over the matter. "We increased the people coming into that facility by over 800 percent, so we did not lose our appeal," he tells NPR's Robert Siegel."

THE LOFT CUBE
“The Loft Cube Project was designed by renowned architect Werner Aisslinger (Studio Aisslinger) and engineered by and8. The Loft Cube was designed to for those who want to work, relax, and share life with friends, in a living unit atop a roof or even a jungle. The possibilities are endless. A temporary modern minimalistic cube with a 360 view, this structure creates both a sanctuary and a social lifestyle to suit people of nomadic lifestyle and those living in large cities and dense urban areas.”
“During the design of the Loft Cube, many issues had to be considered. This mobile unit tends to promote spontaneous relocation, so the weight of the structure had to be calculated to allow transport via freight helicopter or construction crane. With content for the buildings landlord, this rooftop marvel would require extension of the utility lines of the building. After securing the perimeter of the rooftop and railings, the roof will need to be certified to accommodate the additional weight that the structure sets forth.”
“The Loft Cube is fully customizable with movable blinds, glass elements, and either solid or perforated materials. The translucence can also be adjusted to suit personal preference and taste. The skylight can also be opened or closed depending on your mood. The indoor space can be subdivided with sliding panels on tracks. These panels are made from the finest Corian and Zodiac synthetic materials.”
