I had to finish my computer training at Kroger - which took me four hours. BLAHHHH! Between Thursday and yesterday it took me seven hours all together!!! (Glad that's over with- staring at the computer so long gave me a headache!)
After I finished my computer training - I had to rush to pick Joe up from the airport. I watched basketball with him all night at his house, and I totally forgot/ didn't have time to update!
Today should make up for my lack of blogging yesterday - because I feel like this is a great post.
Good music, cool restaurant, neat news articles, and oh so handsome curly head from the show 'Heroes' :)
Moving on....
You probably haven't noticed, but this past week I haven't been posting pictures of myself at the beginning of my posts like I usually do. This is because my hair has been a hot mess!! I know I know, I should embrace whatever my curls do - but my hair looked awful and it was def. my fault lol.
Here's what happened....
Right before I hopped on a Plane to Los Angeles - I discovered that I was at the very end of every single bottle of curl product I own - each bottle had about a half penny size of product left. Since I didn't have enough time to get new product before my flight- I had to come up with a "genius" plan.
My so called "genius" plan was to put the last bit of all of the products into one bottle- shake it up and use that until I got home. I have no idea why I thought 4 different hair products (different brand and everything) would work well together...in my mind it was like "they are all for curls so it's bound to be awesome!"
NOT....DEFINITELY NOT!
My hair has been a big, crunchy, frizzy, nasty, ugly, sticky mess. I'm so stupid- I have no idea what I was thinking. But I felt like i was the smartest person in the world at the time....until i looked at my hair lol. Since I didn't have time to run to my hair salon to buy more hair product the first few days after I returned from my trip - I had to continue using my horrible concoction lol.
But then something wonderful happened! On Friday I was eating at the cheesecake factory - which is super close to my hair salon- so I got to swoop on in and buy my favorite curly hair product called "Curly Sexy Hair - Curl Power Spray Foam"!!!!! WOO HOO!!
It took me a while to locate this product on the shelf because I was looking for the dark blue can it's usually in. One of the girls who works there (who did my hair for prom my senior year - and is very good with curls) took note of my confusion - came over - and informed me that my spray foam was in a new lighter blue spray can. She was oh so helpful!
If you have curly hair and you like to use Mousse type products - this is the one for you. Even if you aren't into Mousse products - I think you'd still enjoy this one very much so.
Just a few sprays of this bad boy boosts my curls - and keeps them very soft at the same time.
This product doesn't leave a sticky, or crunchy residue like a lot of mousse/spray foam products usually do. A big reason why I didn't use spray foam growing up was because they would all weigh my curls down! So another thing I love about this product is that it doesn't weigh my curls down at all - it just adds so much volume!
If you're looking to invest in a new curl product - or know a friend who is.
I really recommend this one!
Thank goodness my curls are back to normal!
Next thing on my agenda - is to get a good trim - my hair isn't long enough to actually get any length cut off. But I need to get a shape up for sure - without layers my curls are just BLAH.
Well that's enough chatter from me. I hope you have a great Sunday!
Let us begin...

PARAMORE - THE ONLY EXCEPTION
I've been listening to the new Paramore album on repeat for the past few days.
This is one of my favorite songs from the album.
Haley's voice/delivery is soooo beautiful.
Makes me teary eyed every time I listen to it.

HASH HOUSE A GOGO
My aunt Linda is currently in Las Vegas with my uncle Ray on a mini vacation. When I text her today to tell her that her cats are still alive (I’m cat sitting her big ol’ fat cats) – she told me I should google/blog about a restaurant she dined at yesterday called “Hash House a Go Go”. I think you guys are really going to enjoy this!
(Thanks aunt Linda!)
I think the food speaks for itself - but if you want to learn more about this award winning restaurant and what they're all about then check out their website!

(1) TLC LAUNCHING “BEST FOOD EVER” SERIES
“If you had to pick, could you really narrow down what's the best food ever? So many choices, so little time. But TLC's going to give it a go, starting May 3 with a six-part, one-hour series entitled "Best Food Ever." Unlike the Food Networks' recent series "Best Thing I Ever Ate," which has their TV celebrities riffing on one item in a broad category, TLC's take focuses on a specific niche, counts down a list of 10 and showcases the behind-the-scenes ingredients of each dish.”
“Oregon's Stahlbush Island Farms announced that they are replacing the standard plastic frozen-food bag with a new, 100-percent biodegradable version. Working with Cadillac Products Packaging Company, which has a twenty-year history of creating sustainable packaging, Stahlbush has developed what they call "the first of its kind" biodegradable bag for its frozen fruits and vegetables.
The BioBag (as they are calling it) is made in part with brown kraft paper and water-based ink, and is designed to decompose in months rather than centuries. Of course, regular paper decomposes even more quickly, but doesn't provide the shelf life to frozen foods that polyethylene does. According to the Stahlburg press release, the BioBag's shelf life rivals conventional frozen-food packaging.”
"Carrying bottled water is on its way to being as cool as smoking while pregnant," claims the video "The Story of Bottled Water," which debuted on YouTube last month and garnered more than 450,000 views.
In fact, Annie Leonard's video points out, Americans buy more than 500 million bottles of the stuff every week. It's second only to soda in popularity, and some industry analysts believe that by next year water will become the most-purchased beverage in the country.
She wants to redirect the flow of water. The bottled water companies, the video insists, are "scaring us, seducing us, misleading us" into buying their products. Leonard, the writer and narrator, gives plenty of reasons why more and more people want to "take back the tap."
You may or may not agree with this video (and that’s ok..I’m not going to state whether or not I agree with everything the narrator is saying) but either way I think it’s interesting – and I suggest you watch it with an open mind.
