Hellooooooo everyone!
Long time no blog :)
The boys played in front of over 1,000 people - and did absolutley amazing!
They def. knocked everyones socks off. I'm so proud of them :)
Saturday was very hot/humid and uncomfortable most of the day.
But due to the fact that there were so many bands to watch, things to do, and people to talk to, I did a pretty ok job ignoring how miserable the weather was.
What I didn't have a good job ignoring was my hunger....I was so hungry all day long. And trust me - you don't want to see me when I'm hungry....it isn't a very pleasant sight to see.
I didn't have much time to eat though because the band had 10 interviews to do within the span of just a few hours. Which is fine and all - but I could only eat when the band ate because they had my meal ticket. (We got a free buffet style meal backstage with all of the other bands at bamboozle with our meal tickets).
Besides being hungry all day long - Kim and I also had a day long battle with the sun. We tried to find shade every chance we got so we didn't burn our porcelian skin.
And I am happy to report we don't have a single spot on us.
Speaking of spotting things....we spotted, and came into very close contact, with five (pretty well known) celebrities throughout the day that you may or may not be familiar with.....
Haley Williams from the band Paramore
Taylor Momsen - who plays the character Jenny in the show "Gossip Girl" and is also the lead singer of a band called "The Pretty Wreckless"

And Drake... sigh...he's so handsome. What more needs to be said?

Now is the time where I tell you all about my trip in great detail, and make myself very sad because it's all over.
At least I have next year to look forward :)
Where to start....where to start.....
How about we start from the beginning?
Kim and I left Ohio at 7 a.m. and took a 13 hour drive to "Club Hell" - a venue in Rhode Island where our boys were playing. We watched the show. Went to sleep. Woke up early. And headed to Bamboozle three hours away in New Jersey.
We arrived at Bamboozle at 9 a.m. and parked amongst all of the other buses/vans/trailers.
Joe, Tyler, Chris, and Kevin immediately began practicing their acoustic set - which they would be playing in the beginning half of the day.
While they practiced - Kim and I took pictures of the boys - and took a few pictures of each other taking pictures
This is the Let's Get It trailer where they store all of their equipment....
And also where they store this bad boy...
This is Kim the mannequin....I think she looks pretty convincing lol.
After the boys were done practicing their acoustic set, and before they started their huge list of interviews, we all did "good luck/early celebration" shots at 11 a.m.
The band decided this moment was document worthy, so they recorded it and uploaded it on Youtube....
We toasted to friends, to a good show, to bamboozle, to a great day, and best of all...we ended our toast by saying "MAKE THEM PAY" lol.
::Note::
I do not condone in drinking so early in the day if you are drinking to get drunk- but celebratory drinks are alright in my book!! And that is exactly what they were. Early celebratory drinks....to get the band, the crew, plus kim& I pumped for the day.
Trust me - no one got drunk before 8 p.m. But after that....all bets were off lol.
After our celebratory shots - it was time to start the interview process.
The first interview of the day was located at a hotel up the street from the festival. So we all loaded ourselves in the van and headed on out.
Tyler (Guitarist/kims bf) was taping this video as we were walking into the hotel room of the people that would be interviewing the band. They were talking about how we were on a tight schedule and pretty much need to get the show on the road. Meanwhile – the band was ransacking the kitchen.- joe was punching someones banana – and I was just standing there laughing. Lol…. Maybe we did have one too many
(I'm located beside/behind Joe in the white shorts...and Kim is the one first shown in the video....in case you were wondering lol)
This video probably makes no sense to anyone else but us because there is so much going on – but I love it lol.
This first interview unfortunately took place in the hotels pool area.
It was so hot/sticky/nasty in there....so Kim and I took pictures and taunted the band from the hallway window as they were being interviewed.
As we drove back to Bamboozle - I took this photo of this.
This is one of the two all access passes the band was given to the "Red Bull Artist Lounge" - which is basically a pass for free drinks in this cool looking tent things...we all made good use out of this bad boy when the night was coming to an end lol.
I love my little asians :)
(Joe is part filipino and Kim is part Korean)
A couple of hours later - Bamboozle was really starting to fill up - I heard that by the end of the day there were over 35,000 people there! How crazy!
Before the boys played their show - we hung out for a bit at the 'Let's Get It' merch table...
Good luck smooches for my fella :)
After about the 6th or 7th interview I went to with the boys...I was totally pooped. I found an empty golf cart to sit in while they did their last few interviews near by. I eventually got scolded by someone who worked there - and I had to get up Lol.
This is Jamie - he is LGI's tour manager/bff - and he was trying to look really tough in this picture lol. Jamie kept me company while we sat and waited for all of the commotion (interviews) to be over and done with.
The golf cart Jamie and I were sitting in was super close to the first aid tent.
So we did a little 'people watching'.....
And let me tell you - these people were dropping like flies!
We saw so many people stumbling into that place like they were nearly dead.
There were kids vomiting, fainting, being carried in, wheeled in wheelchairs, and taken out to ambulances in stretchers. I'm super glad I stayed hydrated throughout the day, ate when absolutely necessary, and didn't drink alcohol while it was 88 degrees out - or I would've been one of those kids getting sick!
Before LGI performed Joe, Kevin and I headed over to the food tent with our meal tickets and had lunch/dinner.
There was soooo much food to chose from- I didn't even know where to begin!!!
There was:
A salad bar
A fruit bar
A side bar
A sandwich bar
A hot dog/coney dog station
A peanut butter and jelly station
A soup station
A station with waffle fries, mixed veggies, sausage, etc.
A dessert station
A drink area.
I made myself 1/2 of a turkey sandwich with fruit, a chickpea/veggie mix, and this cooked veggie and potato mix. I also had (not pictured) part of a coney dog and some of Joe's waffle fries :)
Now it's time for the main event! What you've all been waiting for!!!
LGI's performance!
Kim and I stood side stage while they performed - and got to take a bunch of pictures.
There were so many people in the crowd (a little over 1,000 was the estimation I heard).
This song is entitled "maps" - it is the only ballad on their EP "digital spaces".
At about 2:12 through the song - Joe jumps off the stage, grabs a fans hand, and begins singing to her...
Then when he jumps back on stage (at about 2:37 to about the 2:50 mark on the video) Joes legs are ever so perfectly spread so you can see me right through the middle of them (and Kim to my right lol) back stage.
Actually....a majority of the song you can see me between his legs lol. How strange...
(Joe decided to stand on a rail in the very front - ended up falling into the crowd - and they began crowd surfing him around!)
How epic is this picture?
When the boys were finished playing - the crowd went wild!!
After their amazing performance - we had real celebratory drinks.
I have no idea what they were - all I know is that they were free, they had red bull in them, and they were delicious :)
