Favorite time to blog...

My favorite time(s) to blog:
Either early in the morning, or late at night.
(Never smack dab in the middle of my day).

It is 11:30 on Sunday night - and this seems like the perfect time to complete a post. I'm in the mood to talk, because I've been pretty quiet all day (which isn't very common) You've been warned....
::Caution: Random thoughts and rambling ahead::

I am currently....

drinking skim milk - looking up future featured restaurants, gadgets, videos, etc - watching old episodes of 'Man vs. Food' that i've missed this month - and scratching the holy hell out of my entire body due to the mass quantities of mosquitos that decided to munch on my alabaster skin that was shimmering in the moonlight last evening.

I've decided that....

I'm going to obtain a great sum of money and use that money for travel & food. Such a simple idea isn't it? An idea that thousands and thousands of food fanatics think of/decide to do every single day. This conclusion isn't original - I'm not saying that it is - but after watching 'Man v. Food' all night long....I feel like I'm the one who wants it the most.

Eating and traveling for a living (or just for fun) is my dream...i'm only assuming that this path of life would be the most fulfilling for me...but most of my assumptions are pretty accurate.

After watching '500 days of summer' and Inception - I decided that....

I think Joseph Gordon Levitt is very handsome and pleasing to the eye...when did this happen? The last time I saw this guy - he was just a kid in '10 things I hate about you'.
Looks like somebody grew up....not that I'm complaining lol.

Have you ever seen the 1954 movie 'Rear Window'?

I watched this movie for the first time in a while today.

This is by far one of my favorite movies from the 50s. It is a 'must see' - and an absolute classic. This movie stars the ever so handsome Jimmy Stewart & the lovely Grace Kelly. Directed by Alfred Hitchcok (in my opinion one of his greatest pieces of work).

Here is a little clip explaining the movie - I strongly suggest you see this ASAP!

Lastly....

I TOTALLY FORGOT THIS WEEK IS RESTAURANT WEEK IN DAYTON!

How the heck could I overlook such a thing? ME!? I have one of my readers to thank for e-mailing me/smacking me in the face (figuratively speaking) and waking me up to this (Thank you regina!).

What exactly is restaurant week you ask?

Only one of the most important weeks of the year for local restaurants- that's what!

In DYT OH (aka my hometown) between July 25th and July 30th - at some of the finest restaurants around - you can eat, drink, and 'be caring' for only $20.10. Yes, one can enjoy a 3 course meal for $20.10 or a meal deal for 2 for $20.10. With around 70 restaurants participating in this years restaurant week I have a very big decision to make....where am I going to eat!?

AGH I always have trouble figuring out what restaurant I want to dine at - But this week it's especially hard to figure out where I'm going to eat.... you can't beat a 3 course meal at a delicious/hip/fancy restaurant for only $20.10!!

HMMMM....I might just have to splurge...and spend $100 in food this week - so I don't have to do much deciding, and I'll be able to enjoy 5 great meals at 5 awesome restaurants.

Or i can be a sensible young girl - realize I shouldn't spend $100 and just chose one restaurant....but who said I was sensible anyhow? ;)

I'll figure something out - and keep you guys posted for sure!

Let us begin...

MICHAEL BUBLE – HAVEN’T MET YOU YET

I love all types of music. But the music Michael sings is one of my favorites. Jazzy, swingy, romantic, big band, old timey music. Plus he is oh so handsome, and ever so charming. J

“I might have to wait, I'll never give up.
I guess it's half timing, and the other half's luck.
Wherever you are, whenever it's right.
You'll come out of nowhere and into my life.”

Michael is the bees knees.

Channel 4 will show 20 episodes of Jamie's Thirty Minute Meals this autumn with a further 20 scheduled for next year.

“Director Anthony Vu presents this inspirational video highlighting the work of San Francisco-based illustrator Pascal Campion. “Every Monday through Friday morning for the past 4 years, I have gotten an email from my friend, Pascal. In fact, I have an entire folder dedicated to Pascal Campion with over 1,000 e-mails. And in each email is an attached image. It’s his “Sketch of the Day (SOTD).” Every SOTD is a story that Pascal tells with his amazing talent. Pascal has thousands of fans following his SOTD, but if you ask him, he’ll tell you that they are not fans, they are all his friends. That just the type of person he is.
