Hello everyone! Long time no see...
Guess what?
I finally finished updating my 'Restaurant's page! :)
Now - when you click on the tab at the top of my blog that says 'Restaurants' it will take you to a page that lists every restaurant I've ever blogged about, and where that restaurant is located! I hope I've mentioned restaurants that are in your area so you can go check them out!
Want me to look up a restaurant in your neck of the woods? Send me an e-mail at Jennablack8@gmail.com and I will do some research so you too can have your state/city/hometown/country noticed!
Moving on...
My weekend was fantastic! And as promised - I have pictures of my best friend Jessica's birthday, and all of the festivities of celebration that went down on Saturday!
(Tomorrow I will return to my regular post style - but on some days - I like to mix it up!)
First things first - I had to decorate her cake!
( 1/2 sheet cake, chocolate, with buttercream icing)
Prior to Jessica's party - I had to wrap her presents!
Jessica asked for....
A periodic table of elements shower curtain (what a nerd...but it is pretty awesome lol)
Trocomare (my family got her hip to this way back when, and she's been using it ever since)
Then it was time to head to Jessica's day time party
Look who turned 21! Beautiful girl :)
This is how I look while i'm trying to explain to people that to use the camera on my phone you must: Hold the button down half way to focus it, and then (while finger is still being held at the half way point) push the button all the way down to take the picutre. People still take blurry pictures of me with my camera because they refuse to listen to me and push the button half way to focus lol. It's not that hard- trust me!!!!

Success!
Jessica really liked the presents I gave her! Especially her geeky shower curtain :)
Linsey also attended Jessica's day time party - and bought Jessica a cute pink blouse (which I forgot to photograph)
While Jessica enjoyed her first legal beverage (not first of the day - she drank a cosmopolitan before I saw her...but this was her first legal drink in my presence) in the hot hot sun....
Linsey and I enjoyed being underage (not really lol) while sitting in the shade...
Here are all of the pictures I've collected from her birthday night at the bar.
One of the employees put X's on my hands so I couldn't drink - but I did anyway lol.
Hey - It was my bff's 21st! I couldn't NOT have a drink or two with her! :)
Joe stopped by to say hello and give his birthday wishes to Jess before his band left for tour that night.
(Check out their website to see if they're playing near you!)
Us Black girls know how to get down.
Jessica & her boyfriend JD
Cake time!!
Jessica S. & Jessica K.
I was getting a little friendly with my birthday kisses lol.
JD decided to copy me and do the same
After these photos were taken I decided to give it a rest and just enjoy my night.
(Trust me, there were A LOT more people at her party, and at the bar - but i just took pictures of us lol.)
After we partied it up - we went to waffle house - ate more food than I can remember, and went to sleep.
I woke up late for work Sunday morning : / lol. But I suppose it was worth it, because Saturday night was awesome!
Let us begin...
"He would stare at empty chairs
Think of the ghosts who once sat there
The ghosts that broke his heart.
Oh the ghosts that broke my heart.
Lover, please do not
Fall to your knees
Its not
Like I believe in
Everlasting love"

SEE THEN EAT HIPPOPOTAMUS AT THE BEIJING ZOO

"In Beijing, people not only dine out at the local zoo, but they can also chow down on the very animals they've come to see. Cages even list which part of the animal is tastiest. The restaurant's exotic menu allows visitors to "naw on the webbed toes of a hippopotamus, chew a kangaroo tail, nibble a deer's penis or slurp down a bowl of ant soup." Andrew Zimmerman's interest must already be piqued. It turns out that offerings were a bit too adventurous for some, as the zoo toned down the menu after animal activists complained. No more ant soup for you!"

THE SNEAKER COLORING BOOK
"A colouring book for grown-ups, The Sneaker Colouring Book is a collection of 100 black-and-white line drawings of popular sneaker designs, shown in side view, to colour, alter or customize. The models featured are 100 of the most popular designs from 1916 to the present day from 18 major brands including Adidas, Converse, New Balance, Nike, Onitsuka Tiger, Puma, Reebok and Vans.
Brand, model name, launch date and category are listed for each sneaker. The drawings are printed on high-quality paper and the pages are perforated so that a drawing can be removed once completed.
Taking a fun and highly original approach to sneaker culture, the book will appeal to anyone who likes to colour and customize their sneakers, to fashion and footwear designers, illustrators, graphic designers and, above all, to the sneaker fanatics who want to own every book about their favourite subject."
