(I wrote this post at 8:30 this morning...but I forgot to post it lol. It is now 10:02 p.m....so let's pretend like it's 8:30 again- shal we? lol)
Good morning..
I like this picture of me and my sissta.
This is one of the only pictures you will see where we don't look like we want to kill each other. I figured it was blog worthy lol. Ohhhh I can feel the sisterly love- can you?
Moving on...
You must be wondering...Jenna - I would really love to know what you do on a typical Wednesday morning. What is it that you do?
Ok ok - you probably aren't thinking this....but I'm going to tell you anyway!
First and foremost - I make my breakfast.
Today I had strawberry yogurt with blueberries and almonds. I also had a piece of toast with peanut butter, honey, and sliced banana on top. To drink: Coffee (not pictured) and a big ol' class of skim milk.
As I devour this spread - I read the front page of the 'L!fe' section of the newspaper where they always have a 'Tip of the day', 'Quotable Quotes' and a 'Did you know' column. I love these random tid bits of information - reminds me of my blog!
I open the life section and immediately begin on the 'Hidden Treasures puzzle' a.k.a. 'Seek and Find'.
I always look forward to Wednesday and Sunday mornings because those are the only two days of the week that the seek and find puzzle is in the paper.
Seeing as these puzzles are for children - I like to make mine a little more challenging by trying to find all of the items I possibly can - without looking at the key. I'm really good at this. Usually I can find all of the items within a 5-10 minute period without cheating and looking to the key for help.
After I complete the seek and find puzzle I read the comics - like any respectable adult would do.
(Gotta start every day on a good - light hearted note!)
'Agnes' (pictured above) is my favorite comic strip. She is hilarious and absolutely oblivious to the fact that no one else finds her remotely as intelligent or as funny as she thinks she is - kind of reminds me of myself actually.
After I'm done brushing up on the latest news - and finished with my breakfast. I begin to update my blog, and search for new and interesting things to share with you guys!
Remember my sisters wittle itty bitty rottweiler mix puppy I blogged about a few months ago?
Well she is a MONSTER now!
Sasha is soooo big! And absolutley every single morning (not just Wednesdays) I have to keep her in line - and make sure she doesn't stir up trouble, and taunt our other 3 dogs.
This morning was no different....
Zoey (my moms 3 pound Chihuahua) was minding her own business atop our couch - when Sasha comes out of nowhere, pulls her off the top, and pins her down. When Zoey was finally set free - she ran as fast as her little legs could go - straight towards my parents room. Sasha chased after her...and I haven't seen Zoey since lol. She is probably hiding in my parents room somewhere.....or she's dead. Either one of those scenarios are quite plausible.
(Zoey minding her own business on the pillow)
(Sasha chasing after her lol)
After I finish updating my blog - I usually sit on my couch with my dogs, and catch up on the tv shows I've missed throughout the week due to my work schedule.
Well - that's my typical Wednesday morning. Nothing crazy exciting about it - but it gave me something to talk about! What do you do on Wednesday mornings? Leave me a comment - tell me all about it :)
One more thing before we start...
I posted recently about a book I've been reading called eat, pray, love - and I talked about how wonderful I think it is, and how I can relate to it - and that I would tell you guys all about my revelations, epiphanies, and life goals that come out of reading this book...
Here is just a short paragraph from the book I found noteworthy and quite relevant to my life - perhaps you might feel the same way.
"When you sense a faint potentiality for happiness after such dark times you must grab onto the ankles of that happiness and not let go until it drags you face-first out of the dirt - this is not selfishness, but obligation. You were given life; it is your duty (and also your entitlement as a human being) to find something beautiful within life, no matter how slight."
Let us begin..

BRUGES WAFFLES & FRITES – UTAH
"History of: Liège Waffle | Belgian Frites Like the Brussels waffle, the Liège waffle is eaten hot. Its particularity is that it must contain pieces of sugar within a leavened dough.
According to legend, it was invented in the 18th Century by the Prince of Liège's cook. At the Prince's request, he experimented with cooking a kind of bun by adding polished sugar to the dough. Seduced by the appetising odour of vanilla that emanated during the cooking, the Prince fell for the new cake's charm.
He was not the only one, and the waffle rapidly became very popular in the Liège region and throughout Belgium. Today it is known as the Liège waffle and continues to seduce generations of food-lovers !"
“No this isn't a fake headline from The Onion, although it would be pretty funny, albeit briefly and only for a couple of punchlines, if a truck spilling of copies of the satirical newspaper caused the kind of traffic chaos that the overturned truck of actual onions caused for six hours yesterday on the Golden State and Pomona freeways. Sunday morning a truck carrying 12,000 of onions flipped onto its side after trying to negotiate a tight turn between the southbound 5 freeway and the eastbound 60 freeway. The truck driver suffered minor injuries, but wasn't taken to the hospital, according to the Los Angeles Times report. The ramps to both freeways were closed until shortly after noon while Caltrans cleaned up the onions. Your onions-make-me-cry joke here ________.”
MICHAEL LAU MIXTRA.SHOE SHOP (SAMPLE) EXHIBITION RECAP
“Undoubtedly one of Hong Kong’s iconic personalities in the creative landscape, toy-maker and artist Michael Lau presented his latest exhibition this past week with the MiXTRA.SHOE SHOP (SAMPLE) exhibition. The event focused on Michael Lau’s previously introduced Mr. Shoe character as he underwent numerous different looks and designs. Complimenting the various figures were illustrations and t-shirts also on display. The event is currently taking place at Tsim Sha Tsui’s K11 Art Mall.”
