A big ol dose of self control.....

Helloooooooooooo everyone!!

How are you doing on this fine day?
I'm just splendid thank you!
It's such a beautiful day here in Florida.
I took one glance out the window early this morning and knew I had to get out.
Let's take a peak at my day thus far shall we??

Today's threads......

I've had this dress for about 4 years and I can recall the only time I wore it.....

"::Gasp:: Is that Jenna with straight hair!?!?!?!?" Lol.
The only time I've ever put this dress on was when I wore it to my high school graduation in 2008.

I really need to wear this more often.
It's so comfortable.
And pretty :)

Whilst cruising around enjoying the beautiful weather I decided I needed a few things from Wal Mart.......

The craft aisle of Wally is a deadly one I tell you.
My best friend had to force me with harsh words, over the phone, to leave the store asap.
Good thing, or I would've went on a deadly shopping spree.

My buys:

I'm a gumaholic.
Can't go without it :/

Almay intense-i-color is the shiz.
Their hazel eye makeup is the only makeup I wear besides lipstick.
Lipstick is a must on most days.

A few crafty items for my top secret business endeavorthingymajigger.

For some reason I decided it was necessary to stop at Marshalls.......

Bad idea.

It is so hard to resist purchasing items in the cooking/baking/food/kitchen section of Marshalls. All of the name brand items are SOOOOOO cheap!!!!

I had to keep telling myself "Resist Jenna! Resist!! You don't need pots. Or jam. Or pans. Or olive oil. Or cupcake holders. Or gourmet coffee......ooooooo but this honey looks really good! NO JENNA. RESIST!!!!!!"

I decided to take salvation in the clothing section of the store. It is the "safe zone" for me, because I usually don't find clothes I like. So the chances of my finding something I really like, that actually fits me, is slim to none.....today was a rare exception....

It screamed "I'M PERFECT FOR YOU. I'M EVERYTHING YOU'VE EVER WANTED IN A DRESS - TRY ME ON!!!!!" And it was perfect. And it was the only size 0 they had in stock. And I did try it on.....It fit me perfectly. Probably better than every single dress I own.

I told myself prior to going into Marshalls that I wouldn't buy ANYTHING for myself. "No impulse buys today Jenna" is what I told myself.......So when I say that it literally took everything in me not to buy this $60 dress - I mean it.

When I came out of the dressing room, one of the employees approached me and asked "How did it fit" I replied "It fit me perfect. But I can't spend money today. So here's what you're going to do. I'm going to hand this to you, and no matter how many times I come back to retrieve it from you - you CAN NOT give it back to me. Do you understand? I'm being serious. I will come back for this and you cannot hand it to me." This woman looked at me as if I was some sort of serial killer maniac. Perhaps I startled her because I was talking so fast (which, in case you've never heard me speak, is just the way I talk) and I had a very forward/urgent tone in my voice......not to mention I was demanding her to not give me a clothing item back. Lol. So I started to laugh, you know to try and ease up the tension, and then she started to laugh. And then we were both standing there in this awkward chuckling situation... and she says "Oh, alright. I'll put it away"

I just said a quick "thank you" and ran away lol. I did go back to see if she still had the dress, but she walked away as I was approaching her. Smart lady.

That took a big ol dose of self control on my part lol.

My buys:

A mug for my father.
He is a professional musician. So when I saw this I immediately though of him. Problem is - he doesn't drink out of mugs. So I doubt he'll drink out of this. But he will use it in one way or another. I'm sure he'll store pencils in it or something lol. That's my dad for ya!
Gotta love him.

A top secret item for my mother for Mother's Day
She told me not to buy her anything for Mother's Day seeing as I bought her swag from Teavana when she visited in March. But that's not my style. A gift is necessary because she's awesome. Why is the gift top secret? This is due to the fact that she is a frequent CCH reader, and I don't want her knowing what I got her prior to Mother's Day!!!

And last but not least - I purchased an eco friendly bamboo cutting board. Don't let me fool you - this cutting board is not for cooking/baking/kitchen adventures. Oh no - this is a very important tool in my super secret businessendeavorthingymajig.

I bought Adele's new album this morning.....

........ and have been listening to it non stop ever since. This album is beyond amazing. Her bluesy voice sounds exactly the same on the album as it does live in concert, which is - lets face it, not very common amongst todays leading artists. Adele is truly a one of the most beautiful, talented, and unique female artists there are today - and I'm very very happy that she is doing so well. She truly deserves it.

I have this song (among others) on repeat:

::sigh::
That voice can bring a grown man to tears I tell you!
It's just so beautiful.

Afternoon snicky snacks were a necessity.....

Nomnomnomnomnom.
I can't get enough of this candy.
And I'm not a candy person by any means.
I am a chocolate person through and through.
But I can make an exception for these candies :)

::Side note::
I think my giant eye balls are just as big as the Blow Pop.
........Just an observation lol.

If you've never tasted a sunsweet prune then you haven't lived! They're so much better than the prunes I buy from Aldi! They're absolutely delicious. I can eat an entire bag of these in one sitting......not that i've ever done such a thing lol. They're such a wonderfully healthy snack to be had.

For my fellow readers who have digestion problems:
1.) I feel for you...I really do.
2.) prunes are excellent for digestion.
So pop a handful of these bad boys into your mouth every day and you'll be good to go!!

Lately - I've been drinking my Teavana tea like there's no tomorrow.....

It's just so darn delicious!!!
I can't help but drink 10 + glasses a day! :D
(Which is probably why I've been so hyper lately lol)

I'm pleased that I've been enjoying it so much due to the fact that it cost me an arm and a leg. I'm not going to lie - I was worried that I wasn't going to like the new flavors that I bought last week, but I worried for no reason at all! They're fantastic, and today I steeped all three of them together!

This mixture of tea isn't only delicious - but it is very very healthy/good for your body - I steeped these particular teas together for the effects they have on the body:

"Raspberry Riot Lemon Mate" for caffeine (I'm weening myself off coffee)
"Yumberry Wulong" for digestive purposes.
And "Blueberry Mojito" for my daily green tea dosage.

I mixed in a few tablespoon of Benefiber for good measure :)

What a healthy beverage to be had :)
I suggest Teavana to all tea lovers, anyone wanting to ween themselves off coffee, and any person who wants to try something new!! It's a bit pricey in my opinion, but I think it's totally worth it!

Do you recall meeting Ned???

He's the handsome Betta fish I bought last week.
I was unsure how we would get along.
Thankfully we've been getting along swimmingly
(Get it? Get it? Swimmingly? Hahaha. I'm so funny.)

Ned enjoys the game I like to call "Follow Jenna's finger"
He's getting quite good at it if I do say so myself......

::Side note::
My hands look huge lol.

I love my little Ned.
Such a pleasant fellow.

Which brings us to the present moment....

I am currently blogging/ working on my super top secret businessendeavorthingymajiggerbop......

What a fun way to spend my afternoon!!

It's prime time for me to bid you farewell.....

I don't have time to include featured items in this particular post (i.e. restaurant, curly head, videos) because my to do list is so long today - but I'll be sure to do so when I update tomorrow! I hope each and every one of you have a wonderful evening!
Always remember:
Treat your body with a little respect today.
It's the only one you have.
