How are you doing today? I'm doing just fine thank you.
I don't have much time to chit chat today, because I have to leave for work soon, but there are a couple of things I'd like to share with you before I go!
I go through breakfast phases where I only eat one specific meal for weeks or months on end, with absolutely no desire to eat or make anything else. I recently noticed that I am in yet another breakfast phase/rut. I'm sure some of you have noticed too.....
I am currently in my: toast topped with peanut butter, honey, raisins, and walnuts phase.
Other phases include: oatmeal, eggs in a basket, french toast, grilled peanut butter and honey, and also peanut butter toast with a fried egg.......Hmmm......I wonder what my next phase will consist of.
After breakfast I always eat a block of dark chocolate, but today I decided to do it a little different........
I like to call this little concoction 'healthy chocolate milk'. I used fat free milk, 86% cocoa dark chocolate, and a small dash of salt for extra pizzazz. The only problem was - when the cold milk hit the hot melted chocolate, the chocolate solidified, and I had to stir vigorously for at least three minutes to break it up a little bit. The fact that the glass was still pretty warm due to it being in the microwave, helped warm the milk, which in turn helped break up the chocolate a little better.
Next time I'll try adding hot milk to the chocolate I'm sure that'll keep it smooth and creamy. Then I'll put it into the refrigerator for thirty minutes or so and see the difference. I'm not going to lie - did enjoy eating the big clump of chocolate at the bottom of the cup after I was finished drinking my flaky chocolate milk :) I sneezed at least seven times. Dang you chocolate allergy! You always get the best of me!
One last thing......
When I was searching through each and every post like a crazy person looking for Product Reviews , I discovered a lot of my favorite posts that I completely forgot about!
What does this mean to you? I may or may not be posting until Saturday or Sunday - due to personal matters I've been putting on hold. I sometimes get so involved with my blog, that I often times find myself saying "ooohhh yea! I forgot I said I'd do that last week" or "I thought I did laundry yesterday...." or "Hu. I haven't gone grocery shopping in a while have I?" Don't get me wrong. I love blogging. And when it's a full time job I will be happy to do it all the live long day. But until then - I gotta put other things on the forefront!! Soooooooo......
I figured I would be wise share the links to the aforementioned 'favorite posts' now, so in case I don't post until the weekend- you guys will still have something to look at!!!
I hope you enjoy these posts just as much as I do :)
(1) FRED ASTAIRE AND GINGER ROGERS – CAN’T TAKE THAT AWAY
This is one of the most romantic moments in film to date. I absolutely melt every single time I watch this scene. Take note fellas.
Ginger always felt that the scene above needed a dance number to go along with it. And you want to know what? Ginger got her wish - and it was granted in another film years later......
Fred and Ginger are the most endearing couple on the silver screen hands down. Fred had a number of reoccurring leading ladies throughout the years, but the chemistry he had with Ginger is absolutely undeniable.
(2) JOHNNY FLYNN – TICKLE ME PINK
Folk at it’s finest.
Oh Johnny Flynn - blond or brunette you make me swoon ever so!!

DO COOKING SHOWS MAKE YOU FAT?
"“Top Chef,” “The Next Big Food Network Star,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Dining Downunder,” “Celebrity Chefs,” “MasterChef,” “Two Fat Ladies,” “America’s Next Best Restaurant,” “The Stir,” “Iron Chef” … the list goes on and on.
Yet still it seems America is far from full of food-centered television shows, with new programs continuously being added to the television smorgasbord. So with hundreds of hours of programming devoted each week solely to the subject of cooking, creating, entertaining and eating, could the food TV onslaught be contributing to the country’s obesity problem?
However, Marlene Schwartz PhD, Deputy Director for the Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity at Yale University, said that while no formal studies have been conducted on these shows, she thinks that the overall impact in the short-term is that they increase one’s hunger levels. More importantly, watching a lot of television in general is one of the strongest predictors of obesity in children."
