Chill the F out Jen

Hellooooooooooo everyone!!!!

How are you doing today?
I'm doing splendid!
When I woke up I realized that it was a curltastic day atop of my head, and a beautiful day outside.
What does one do at a time like this?

Well I could've done what I usually do on my days off: hide in my bedroom sprawled out across my bed researching kitchen gadgets, restaurants, food clips, and random tid bits for hours on end. But instead I decided to put on my red lippy stick, slap on a pretty dress, and spend the day outside so I could get a little bit of sun on this alabaster skin of mine (After heavily applying spf 70 of course). It was a refreshing day to say the least.

For the past week or so I've been stressed out about the future whereabouts of this little thing I like to call 'Chronicles of a Curly Head'. I'm pretty sure I've been driving my best friend crazy because of my psychotic/hesitant/indecisive/cry baby sissy girl attitude .....although he seems stable enough.....I decided I needed a little "chill the fuck out jenna" time....before he flips his lid lol.

I pretty much needed to do absolutely anything other than think about the future whereabouts of my blog today. Which is exactly what I did! There is just something so soothing about roaming around craft stores, buying groceries, and listening to mad beats whilst driving in my car. These things always seem to put me in a fantastic mood!

For the next few days I'm just going to outline my days, my food, my fro, and my randomness of life.

You might as well listen to the mad beats I've been bumping all day whilst you read the rest of this post:

Today's dress......

because let's be honest with ourselves....I rarely wear anything else.

I love the material of this dress. It's so silky and light weight!
Don't let me fool you - this gem didn't always fit me. It wasn't clear to me that this dress was made for a small chested girl when I purchased it. Good thing my mother is a wonderful seamstress. She cut and sewed it to fit me perfectly! And now it's one of my favorites :)

::Side note for the ladies::
AHEM.
Exuse me.
Girls with the A,B, and C size chests.
I'm talking to you.
No not you D.
Hey you B!
Yes I'm talking you.
When you wear a low cut dress or shirt it looks cute, when us chesty girls wear low cut dresses or shirts we look like hoochie maghoochies. So embrace the size of your chest and how cute you look in tops if you haven't already. (If my words of encouragement aren't enough for you then just face the harsh reality that I refuse to face - when you get older your chest will not look like rocks in socks like the rest of us.) So please don't complain in the dressing room incessantly about the size of your chest. It's all good gf. You look great! And you won't have problems in the future!

As for my fellow big chested girls.....the only advice I have for you is to buy a good bra.
It's our only hope.

::End side note::

The first stop in my "Chill the F out Jen" day.....

Took a trip to good ol' Best Buy to test out a camera I intend on buying within the next few months. I'm getting tired of taking photos for my blog with my less than awesome cell phone camera. I need to buy a legit camera to take photos of my food with. Don't get me wrong - I don't think you needs to buy an expensive camera to take great photos -you just have to know how to use the camera you already have......
But I still want to buy a nifty camera anyway.
It's the principle of the matter lol.

Second stop in my "Chill the F out Jen" day....

Michaels - the craft store! You must be thinking "Oh no Jenna....you didn't really go to the craft store did you? Don't you have an arts & crafts addiction? I bet you spent A TON of money while you were there didn't you?"

I am happy to say that I didn't spend a single dime during my trip to Michaels! :)
It took a lot of self control to say the least. There were a number of times I picked something up and walked towards the check out counter, only to say "NO JENNA. NO." and then turn around and put the item back. I'm proud of myself lol. I don't know anyone under the age of seventy with an arts & craft obsession as serious as mine.

I JUST LIKE CREATING THINGS! WHAT'S SO WRONG WITH THAT!?!?!??!
Sigh......maybe I'm not as stable as I claim to be. Moving on.....lol

I think these wonderful flower pots need the spotlight for just a moment....

AGH they're so cute!!!
Wish I would've caved and bought one lol.

It is beyond me why people purchase fake fruits and veggies to place in wicker baskets as kitchen table/coffee table center pieces......

Why not purchase the real thing and use them as a center piece instead? That way at least you'll get two uses out of them lol. I will say - some of these fake fruits actually look real. If you'd like to fool a few people - this would be a great way to do it.

I cannot. I repeat I CANNOT go into a craft store without visiting my favorite section......

The fake floral section!!!

Hmmm....new tattoo?

These are the cutest little suckers I ever did see...

Craft stores carry a surprisingly large section of candies.
The cute factor is high and large in the candy section of this particular craft store.

The deadliest section for me to go into....

The cooking/baking aisles!!!
::Dramatic music::
BUM BUM BUMMMMMMM

"Self control. Self control. Self control."
My mantra for the day lol.

Third stop in my "Chill the F out Jen" day....

I had to buy my little Ned fish food!

The only purchase I made all day.
I gave him the last bit of fish food I had on Saturday!
I couldn't wait another day.

Fourth stop in my "Chill the F out Jen" day......

"But Jenna - you said you didn't buy anything today!"
I didnt....

KA-POW!!! GIFT CARD!!
One of my homies back in Ohio, has a beyond amazing mother named Ellen who always does such wonderful selfless things for all of his friends. Her selflessness includes gifting me this bad boy for Christmas. What a lovely lady :) I miss my Ellen.

(Did anyone else 'lol' at my saying "homies"?)

Believe it or not I had absolutely NO idea that a plethora of Starbucks stores come equipped with thru windows. NO IDEA. This was my very first experience with a Starbucks drive thru. And it was a wonderful one to say the least!

My tall soy Chai Tea Late with two extra pumps was in my hand not even a minute or so after ordering it! I figured it came out quickly because the store has fast baristas....maybe it's because the drink was old.....but it tasted fresh.....hmmm......now i'm all skeptical lol.

HOLY YUM.
I'd forgotten how much I love these things :)

Fifth stop in my "Chill the F out Jen" day......

Had to pick a few things up from Aldi. Not necessarily because I needed the items.More because I didn't want to go home yet, and I enjoy wandering around grocery stores when I'm bored lol. It's one of my favorite things to do.

I decided to leave my drink in the extremely hot car to melt the copious amount of ice they put into it. The drink had more than enough flavor, so I figured the ice wouldn't water the flavor down at all while I was in the store. (I was right btw).

Although I am curious as to why there were droplets of my latte chillin on my console when I got back into the car...... it must've been Oscar or Olivia sneaking a drink. You can't trust those Okapi's I tell you....they're always up to something.

I'm not exactly sure why I love the quarter carts at Aldi.

They're just so cool! Put a quarter in, use the cart, put the cart back, your quarter pops out! I feel like such a little kid every time I get my quarter out of my wallet. I'm always so excited lol.

What did I purchase on this little excursion?

When I got home I made myself a delicious lunch using some of my new produce.....

Celery, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, and prunes

Can't eat my veggies without topping them with Trocomare first!!

That was pretty much my day up until this point!
Exciting stuff, eh? Lol. Exciting to me at least.
I had a fun day cruising around town and wreaking havoc.
I have just one more thing to say before I go.....

You must buy this album on itunes......

Why?

Because it came out today. Because my best friend is in the band. Because these guys are awesome. Because it's clearly the album of the summer. Because it's extremely fun to dance to. Because they deserve recognition for their aforementioned awesomeness. Because the songs are rad. Because it makes you feel good. Because......because I said so. Need any other reasons to purchase it? Well...how about you visit their website and take a little listen for yourself. I think you will develop a few reasons of your own: Let's Get It

If you do purchase the album because of my influence.....I do believe a "thank you Jenna" is in order :) I'll be waiting right here whenever you're ready.....

Well that's all from me today!!

Lucky for you I've been a talker since the day I was born. I never run out of things to say. So be sure to come back tomorrow and listen to some more of my brilliant ramblings :)
I hope each and every one of you have an amazing day!

I brought you in with awesome music - I shall bid you farewell with awesome music too!

(Don't be afraid to get up and dance a little.....I am WAY ahead of you)

Farewell all :)
