Happy Father's Day to all of you fathers out there!
I will be spending this particular Fathers Day at a baseball game with my family. But before I get ready to do all of that - I'd like to share a handful of photos of my father and I taken over the past few years.......
I'm not going to go on and on and on about how my dad is the best dad in the entire world (like most bloggers probably are today) but I will say he's the perfect dad for me! He's a teacher, a professional pianist/musician, he's the type of person who would do anything for anyone, he is outnumbered 3 to 1 in the female to male ratio in our house (hats off to him for that one), he is absolutely hilarious, he owns the best sweaters you could possibly imagine (totally gives Bill Cosby a run for his money), and lest us not forget that he is the smartest person most people have ever met. What else could I ask for in a dad?
A few qualities I inherited from my father: My humor, my quick whit, my love for dogs/music/gardening/bicycling, my big ears/nose/hands/feet (I like to think I have a better hold/stance on this earth thanks to these large features lol). The most noticeable quality I inherited from good ol dad is how I have this giant urge/need to just talk and talk and talk and talk and talk without stopping, and without really caring and/or noticing that absolutely no one is listening or paying any attention Lol.
To sum it all up -my dad is a swell guy, and us Black girls are lucky to have him around :) I hope he has a wonderful Father's Day, because he most certainly deserves it!
I love my family :)
Unfortunately a majority of these pictures are really really old. If I took half as many photographs of my family as I do food - I would be in a lot better position than I am right now lol. Note to self: Take more pictures of your fellow Blacks: End note.
Well it's time for me to skedaddle - I have a baseball game to attend!
I hope each and every one of you have an amazing day.
Remember to be kind to one another.
And remember to be kind to your body.
It's the only one you have after-all!

Could it be? My two favorites as ONE?!?!?! These two groups of men were pretty much the only artists I listened to from infancy until I was about ten years old......which is when I started listening to the Spice Girls religiously haha. Don’t let the face fool you people – I’m a soul sister to my very coreJ Please excuse me while I roll around on my bed and sing at the top of my lungs......
Fun fact: Ever since I was little I've always said "Jenna" instead of "Sara".
It has a nice ring to it Lol.

(1) PREDICTED DECLINE IN CULINARY SCHOOL ENROLLMENT NOT A CONCERN FOR MANY RESTAURANT PROS
Lyle Hildahl, executive director of the Washington Restaurant Association's Education Foundation, isn't a foe of formal kitchen training. But he fears the current glamorization of professional cooking, advanced by the Food Network and glossy food magazines, has inspired young college students and frustrated mid-career workers to seek overnight stardom by signing up for culinary school.
"It's great for the schools," Hildahl says. "They've been filling up all over the place. But one of the challenges that students have when they get out is they still have to start at the bottom. You're not going to run a kitchen."
According to Hildahl, many prospective chefs believe the $40,000 tuition fee collected by for-profit trade schools entitles them to a cushy executive-chef position upon graduation. They're unwilling to accept a $12-an-hour prep-cook job or wash dishes, as Hildahl did at the start of his career. "These kids feel they know more than the chef," Hildahl says.
