Helloooooooo everyone!
And Happy July to you all :D
How are you doing today? I'm doing great thank you.
Nothing like the start of new month to make a gal feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Hot cocoa seems to have the same effect.....I much prefer hot chocolate now that I think about it....but I digress.

I don't have a ton of time to chit chat today. Just a few things to touch on then I will be on my way to work! I must warn you though - I'm a wee bit feisty this morning, and by wee bit I mean very. I'm most certain this post reflects that in a big way. My bad lol.
Where to begin oh where oh where to begin.......
You might as well listen to this little ditty whilst you pursue this post.....
As of lately this is my go to breakfast.......

Two pieces of whole wheat toast topped with honey, two over easy eggs, and a side cup of yogurt topped with chia sees. Yum yum yum.
And it was absolutely magnificent! This Irish Cream reminded me of why I was so happy to move back home in the first place. I forget exactly what an Irish cream is lol, but all I know is that it's straight up Ohio happiness in a cup.
Due to recent/unpleasant encountering I had I feel the need to touch on a topic that I find to be of somewhat importance......
I really don't like talking about things that irk me on CCH but sometimes I find it necessary, especially if the aforementioned things have to do with food. Let me begin by saying that my view on food is 100% that of Julia Roberts character (Elizabeth Gilbert) in 'Eat Pray Love'.
(This whole tid bit is a result of a handful of people feeling the need to give me extremely rude advice on how to eat.)
Please stop pushing diet views on me. Girl do what you gotta do to feel happy in your skin. But I'm not interested in doing that the same way. My diet for life consists of: Good food, friends/family, and a healthy dose of good ol fashioned exercise. I don't cut things out. I don't deprive myself. That's just how I do.
Perhaps you are self conscious of every single piece of food you put into your mouth, but you must remember that not everyone feels the same way - i.e. me. I'm in the business of food. I blog about food, I work with food, I went to school for food, a good day for me is a day when I eat better than the day before, a night on the town always starts with a good meal and ends with an awesome dessert (or vice versa) etc. etc. etc. You get the point - it's all in the name of food on my end. I am interested in eating the foods my body needs to feel awesome, but I am in no way shape or form interested in dieting. I refuse to skimp out on the best foods in the world because of some silly ideal.
You must remember that your diet is a bank account. If you eat "like crap" one day then do better the next. It's not as dire as most girls my age are making it out to be. If you have three scoops of ice cream instead of two, or if you decide to order a large sandwich instead of a mini I promise you that your head will not explode into a million pieces. You will not keel over and die. You will not gain 100 pounds on the spot. You will merely be a bit more full than you were five minutes ago. And perhaps you will be more satisfied as well. But if you eat three gallons of ice cream every day....that's quite another story all together......I would advise against that one lol.
I love my body. I think I look awesome. I feel awesome. And that's all that matters. I am a student of food. You aren't. Plain and simple.
::PHEW::
Ok......now I'm done lol.
Nothing like a block of dark chocolate to make me feel better after an overdue and necessary rant.........
I came home from a long, hard, challenging, and yet rewarding day at work last night to find a brand new bag of Ghirardelli dark chocolate waiting for me on my kitchen counter. Gotta love my mom for doing little things like this for me. I haven't had dark chocolate in weeks (surprising hu?) so this most definitely made my day :)
The best/freshest/healthiest dairy I've had in ages.......

I can hear it now "Omg WHOLE MILK? Jenna that is soooooo fattening". Blah blah blah blah. Don't talk to me about fat. I swear the next person who tries to talk to me about fat is going to be smacked in the face with a gallon of whole milk lol. This gallon of milk was made the morning it was delivered to me. When is the last time you drank a gallon of milk that was brought to you directly from the farm only hours after the cow was milked? Unless you live on a farm or something of that nature then I'm guessing the answer would be "Gosh....I don't know Jenna" That's what I thought lol. Like I said - the healthiest milk I've ever had.
I'll take this whole milk over the crap grocery store skim milk any day. It tastes waaaaaay better than your run of the mil whole milk, it actually tastes like cereal milk! Holy freaking yum. Not only does it taste better, but it is so freaking fresh. Can't beat that sister friend.
These smoothies are to die for.
The blueberry flavor is my absolute favorite.
I've had two a day every day since Tuesday.
I can assure you - once you pop the fun don't stop.
I realized this morning that it's been weeks since I've had a cup of tea..........
No tea or dark chocolate in three weeks?
Well boys and girls it's time for me to bid you farewell.
I hope each and every one of you have a wonderful day.
Indulge a little bit. Care a little less about the insignificant things in life.
You're alive. That should be more than enough to keep you happy today.
Be kind to one another, and above all be kind to yourself.
You are the only you after all!
