Hellooooooooooooo everyone!!!
How are you doing on this fine day?
I'm just splendid thank you!
Long time no talk eh? So sorry about that....

I've been extremely busy with work, friends, family, and.........sigh don't let me fool you. I'm not all that busy. All I've really been doing the past two weeks (in this order just about every single day) is: Wake up at 7:30 a.m., eat, get dressed, go to work, come home from work, turn my phone off, play with my dog, take a three to five hour nap, get in my pajamas, and watch 'Mad Men' on Netflix until about two in the morning. No shame in my lazy game. Well.....there's a little bit of shame lol but we'll get to that a little bit later.
I haven't been entirely lazy these past few weeks. As I mentioned I have been working full time, I do hang out with my friends as much as possible, I spend a great majority of time eating/preparing meals, and you may or may not recall that I recently had a pretty big Birthday - my 21st Birthday to be exact.
Similar to last years Birthday Extravaga - I will be filling you in on the Birthday events that took place within the past few weeks via pictures! Enjoy :)
On September 11th (the day before my birthday) I enjoyed a pre Birthday breakfast with my mother and sister at my favorite breakfast spot in Dayton.......

Leaving my lipstick stain everywhere I go.

What exactly did I order on this special occasion?

My sister and I split a feta and spinach omelette, two whole wheat pancakes, and a side of home fries.

If you live in the Dayton area, you enjoy a good breakfast, and you've never been to The Golden Nugget.....well first of all you're either crazy or you live in a hole...and second you should really make an effort to go. You'll thank me later.
After breakfast I purchased three possible Birthday dresses......

I couldn't chose just one dress to buy because I wasn't quite sure how I'd feel on my big day. So naturally I bought all three. It's very rare that I ever find anything I like when trying on clothes, so I pretty much hit the jackpot on this little outing.
The morning of September 12th...... MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

Look who woke up early with me to watch the sunrise. Why it's my new little puppy dog Marcie! If you didn't catch my last blog post then you are unaware that Marcie was a Birthday present to myself. Happy Birthday to me :)
I decided instead of going out to eat for breakfast on my big day I would make one of my favorite meals instead......
This is apparently what it looks like to be twenty one......

I don't look much different at 21 than I did at 20. I weigh a bit more and my hair is a bit longer, but that's about it! Does it feel any different? Somewhat. But I can attribute that to the fact that I can purchase liquor without hesitation or fear lol.

The beautiful blue dress was clearly the Birthday winner this year.
I felt like one of the Golden Girls :)
Fast forward a few hours to lunch.....

I devoured most of my food before I even realized that I hadn't taken a picture of it yet lol. I ordered chicken and vegetables with steamed rice. YUM.
I had such a lovely time at lunch with Shaneice and Jessica.
Thanks again for treating me to lunch Jess! :)
After lunch the girls and I headed over to the Kokopelli Gift House for fun.....

I love this little hole in the wall native american shop. It's by far one of the most interesting stores in the Dayton area. It is filled with so many nifty treasures. The shop consists of just about everything from dream catchers to necklaces, art to walking sticks, and night lights to giant figurines.
After our little adventure in the Kokopelli shop - the girls and I went to one of my favorite places for delicious refreshments....

Seeing as I go to Ohio Coffee co. about three times a week, I've became somewhat of a regular/chit chatter with the employees. Lucky for me I've been such a chatty Cathy over the past few months, because I was given a large drink on the house as a "Happy Birthday" to me from the Ohio Coffee co staff! How lovely of the fellas at the shop to do such a thing :) If you haven't been to Ohio Coffee co. before I suggest you stop by for a drink sometime. The employees/owner at this establishment are absolutely fantastic.

I should've taken a picture right when I was given the drink, it was much more appealing I can assure you lol. What exactly did I order? Although it's a drink I purchase regularly I'm not 100% sure what is in it lol. It's a hot apple cider of sorts mixed with a handful of spices and topped with whip cream and cinnamon, that I do know! This drink just screams autumn/fall. Lucky for me fall is already here, which is the perfect time to order such a beverage!
Behold! My first liquor store purchase :)

Well....the first purchase where I myself went in and handed over my money. I've sent friends in plenty of times with my money to buy alcohol for me lol. It feels quite different when it's legal and you do it yourself. What exactly did I purchase?
It is one of my favorite drinks after all.
As a birthday tradition I had to eat crab rangoon.......

Why is crab rangoon a birthday tradition? Well....if I allowed myself to eat crab rangoon all year long I would be about 75 lbs heavier than I already am. A few years back I told myself I was only allowed to eat this delicious fried cheesy goodness one day of the year - my birthday specifically. It was well worth the wait I can assure you.

True that sister.
Here are the gifts received on my special day....well....the ones I felt like photography anyway.......

My mom made me an apron!!!
:)
The only things I really ask for on my birthday is: someone take me to breakfast, pumpkin pie and/or pecan pie, chili, and crab rangoon. Check, check, check, and check.
Birthday pie time!!!

Fast forward one week to my extended family/friends birthday event..........
Yummmm x10000000.
ANOTHER pumpkin pie?
Yes it was.
My birthday was wonderful to say the least.
Thank you to all of my friends and family who helped make it that way.
I appreciate you all more than you know :)
Other random randomness that's happened since I last blogged.......
My sister found one of the funniest pictures ever taken of the two of us.....I wasn't exactly wanting my picture taken on this particular day lol.
I purchased a ton of healthy foods in preparation of revamping my body and mind. I used to be such a fit and healthy girl when I began my blog. I had a pretty good mindset/habits when it came to food and exercise. But somewhere between my moving to Florida in January and moving home to Ohio in June - my health has gone to shit. I lost a ton of weight when I moved away (because I had no friends to hang out with, so all I did was go to the gym and exercise) and I gained a ton of weight when I moved back (because I had a ton of friends to hang out with, and I've done everything but go to the gym and exercise). I let this happen due to negligence and I'm disappointed in myself to say the least. But I am not ashamed, no I dare not be ashamed. I am a person and I make mistakes. I get lazy. I slow down. No big deal. It's just time to fix it is all! And I find comfort in knowing that perhaps my want/need to start being healthy like I used to be will motivate some of you to do the same! It's your responsibility to take care of your body. So start doing it!
So here's to good health and a happy out look on life!
And last but not least......
I've been spending a ton of time with Marcie. She doesn't really care to have her picture taken, but that hasn't stopped me from taking about one hundred or so since I adopted her two weeks ago lol. She is perfect. Such a lovable, brave, cuddly, spunky, cute, and happy dog that rarely barks and always plays. I love her to bits :)
Well it is time for me to bid you all farewell!!!
I hope you enjoyed this random birthdaytastic haphazardly thrown together post!
Be sure to treat your body, your mind, and others with the utmost care and love.
A happy body and mind makes for a happy person.

Happy belated! I noticed that you bought some Naked Juice - so yummy! Have you ever tried Bolthouse Juice? It's a teeny bit healthier than Naked and a bit cheaper..also, it's usually on sale at Kroger. Happy healthy eating :)
