NO BAKE COOKIE BALLS
(This is the same recipe as the regular no bake cookies. Except: instead of being made over a burner and being formed into cookies, it is all done by hand and formed into balls.)
(Makes roughly 50-70 balls)
2 cups sugar
3 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 lb butter
1/2 cup milk
- In a large bowl combine the oats, sugar, and cocoa.
-The peanut butter and butter need to be softened prior to adding to the mixture. I usually microwave the butter for about 25 seconds and the peanut butter about 30-40 seconds in a microwave safe bowl.
-With a large spoon, mix in the water, vanilla, softened butter, and softened peanut butter to the dry ingredients to form a dough.
( I'm a very hands on baker, so I use my hands instead of a spoon.
It's a pretty messy process but I like to feel the products I'm making.)
-After mixing, your mixture should look like the one pictured above
-Using your hands, roll the dough into small balls. Whatever size you so choose.
((This isn't the stickiest or wettest of dough- so it will take some effort getting the dough to shape into a ball.
I use my fingertips to squish them together, then once it's holding i'll roll it between my palms.))
- Pour the powdered sugar into a pan about 2 inches deep. Or into a large bowl.
-After rolling each of the cookie balls, place them atop the powdered sugar.
-Shake the pan side to side- allowing the balls to roll in the powdered sugar- until they're completely coated.
((Be careful not to make a powder sugar mess!))
